Following customer feedback, we have redesigned the cutlery holder. It is now enclosed all around and features a removable divider for easier cleaning. We have been shipping the new cutlery holder along with all order placed since mid-April 2011. All comments in the older reviews regarding the deficiencies in the cutlery holder do not apply any longer since all problems have been solved in the new, very elegant cutlery holder. This item does not rust, what some call rust is actually brown spots from high mineral content in water in some places.
